Add a note to an entity

Abstract

Learn how to add a note to an entity to capture context and share information with your team.

Use notes to share observations, keep decisions visible, and build a clear activity trail around an entity.

To add a note to an entity:

  1. On the entity page, select the Open notes panel button.

    The notes panel opens in a side view.

  2. Type your text in the Add a note box.

  3. Select the Add note button.

Your note appears at the top of the notes panel, showing your username and the date and time it was added. The note is also recorded in the entity's audit report.

Select Close notes panel to hide the notes panel and return to the main view.
