About entities

Abstract

Learn what entities are in Moody's for Compliance and how they support assessment and monitoring workflows in your portfolio.

Entities are core components in Moody's for Compliance that are used to represent companies and individuals.

You can add entities to your portfolio to include them in your assessment and monitoring processes.

Each entity contains key identifying information that varies depending on the entity type:

  • Companies: include incorporation date and other registration details.

  • Individuals: include date of birth and personal identifiers.

Entities added to your portfolio can be evaluated through assessments. Your configuration determines the assessments you can perform on an entity and the specified workflow for each assessment.

During an assessment, tasks are generated when a workflow step can't be automated and needs human intervention, for example, supplying missing data or resolving screening matches.

An entity can undergo multiple assessments at the same time, each following its own workflow.

The Portfolio view on the Views page lists the entities you have added to your organization's portfolio.

You can expand your portfolio by searching for new entities in the header bar search field or by manually adding a new entity record.
