About chapters

Abstract

Explains how chapters organize entity data into specific sections and contexts.

Chapters provide information on a specific business context to help you navigate and manage data efficiently.

After adding an entity to your portfolio, information about that entity becomes available across multiple chapters, creating a structured view of the data. Select the entity from your portfolio to view the data in chapters such as:

  • Firmographics: A summary of a company’s formal identity, covering its legal details, industries, activities, and other firm-level characteristics.

  • Network graph: A visual map of a company’s ownership and control, covering its indirect ownership, beneficial owners, and global ultimate owners.

  • Ownership: Entities with direct or indirect control over a company and related corporate structures such as parent companies and subsidiaries.

Other chapters containing information about an entity are available depending on your assessment setup, such as:

  • Screening events: Summary of screening event data related to the entity and, if applicable, its associated parties, such as shareholders, officers, and subsidiaries.

  • IDD report: An AI‑generated research report about the entity, using consolidated information from company databases, risk sources, and publicly available data.

Chapters can contain sub-chapters that break down the data into more specific sections. For example, the Ownership chapter contains the following sub-chapters: Shareholders, Beneficial owners, and Subsidiaries.

Each field within a chapter is mapped to its source. Sources can include register data or data curated by Moody's, with waterfall logic applied where necessary for data completeness and reliability.
